Three Categories, Three Medals, One Big Weekend of Pickleball

After winning gold two weeks ago, my return to competitive pickleball continued this weekend with a challenge I hadn’t taken on in nearly two years: playing all three categories in the same tournament.

And let’s just say… the body is definitely asking for some rest now! 😅

No gold medal this time, but three medals, three great experiences, and most importantly, a lot of fun getting back into the intensity of tournament play.

🥈 Silver — 4.0 Singles & Open

The weekend started with singles in the 4.0 and Open category.

I came away with a silver medal, and more importantly, another great test of where my game is at. After everything the last couple of years have brought, simply being back on the court, competing hard and fighting for a medal is something I’m very proud of.

🥉 Bronze — 4.0 Doubles

In 4.0 doubles, I got to play with the old guys! 😉

A bronze medal to add to the collection after a weekend where experience, patience and strategy once again played a big role.

Because in pickleball, it’s not always about hitting the hardest shot. Sometimes, it’s about being patient and waiting for the right opportunity.

🥈 Silver — 4.0 Mixed Doubles

To finish the weekend, it was time for 4.0 mixed doubles with the young guns.

Another great challenge and another silver medal to close out the tournament.

A huge thank you to Marie-Josée Losier. Thank you for everything! You are patient, easygoing and, above all, an excellent player. It was a real pleasure sharing the court with you.

And of course, I can’t forget Rocky, who was his usual self: staying in his bag, being patient and waiting for his moment. A real treasure! 🐶🥰

Three Categories, Three Medals… and Plenty to Be Grateful For

So, here’s how the weekend ended:

🥈 Silver — 4.0 Singles & Open
🥉 Bronze — 4.0 Doubles
🥈 Silver — 4.0 Mixed Doubles

No gold this weekend, but honestly, that’s not what I’ll remember most.

Two weeks ago, I won gold in 4.0 singles at the Skechers Open 2026 — a victory that meant a lot after two difficult years. This weekend was a different kind of accomplishment: getting back to playing all three categories, competing throughout an entire tournament weekend and, most importantly, enjoying the game again.

And that, in itself, is a victory.

After all those matches, the intensity, the adrenaline and the long days… the rest will definitely be well deserved! 😴
